Job Purpose

Effectively manage the vessel traffic management systems (VTMS) and supervise VTMS operators to ensure a high standard of safety for ships movement in port area

Key Accountabilities

(1 KA) Receive and manage calls from vessels

(1 KA) Receive, handle and report emergency situation

(1 KA) Receive and handle navigation aids device damage report

(1 KA) Receive and handle pilot exemption from vessels and prepare monthly report

(1 KA) Monitor and communicate all vessels in port area on location & movement matter

(1 KA) Supervise VTMS operators tasks and operations

(1 KA) Monitor and ensure vessel are equipped with AIS system and radio system communications & movement activities are reported

(1 KA) Supervise and ensure all equipments in server room are in good condition

(1 KA) Manage Marine Day-to-day Ops Centre and watchkeeping

(1 KA) Guide the junior staffs and review the work output to ensure quality is as per the standard

Qualification(s)

Degree in Maritime Management/Nautical Studies/Marine Architect or;
Chief Mate of 3000 GT or more Unlimited Trade Voyage recognized by the government or;
Second Engineer Officer of 3000 kW or more Unlimited Trade Voyage recognized by the government or;
Master of 3000 GT or more Unlimited Trade Voyage recognized by the government or;
Chief Engineer Officer of 3000 kW or more Unlimited Trade Voyage recognized by the government
8 years of relevant work experience
